The Really Red Smoothie Recipe
1 Cup filtered water (I don’t really need to tell why water is important…do i?)
A generous dollop of unsweetened yogurt – stay away from the sugary ones and yogurt adds probiotics and calcium
A generous scoop of coconut milk – antibacterial, anti fungal, anti-viral, and one of the best fats for your brain
2 Tablespoons of raisin paste – Raisins are great for your digestion and are packed with iron, copper, b-complex vitamins, potassium, magnesium, polyphenolic antioxidants, and they’re antibacterial…and they’re really sweet and tasty
1 large handful of walnuts – The Omega-3 fats found in them are ideal for your brain. They even look like a brain.
Add 1 large carrot – Carrots are loaded with vitamins A and K, potassium, and they’re rich in beta-carotene which is excellent for fighting cancer and valuable nutrition for your eyes and skin
1/2 large beet – Beets are great for fighting inflammation, promote health, and they’re rich in folate, manganese, potassium, copper, fiber, magnesium, phosphorous, Vitamin C, iron, and B-6
2 cups of strawberries or raspberries – Berries are high in Vitamin C, manganese (necessary for bone health) iodine, folate, copper, potassium, magnesium, phosphorous, biotin, Omega-3 fats, and Vitamin B-6
