Today is a wonderful day to be inside, enjoy a hot cup of tea, and write what’s on my mind. I’ve been thinking about when it comes to diet or exercise, many people think exercise is more important than the food they eat. They think the more they exercise the quicker they’ll lose weight. Not necessarily true. Don’t get me wrong, exercise is vitally important, and it will help you lose weight, but it’s more important to eat real foods. Yes, eating plenty of real foods can help you lose weight. And you can even lose weight by eating real foods without killing yourself with too much exercise.
Here’s what I’m talking about.
GREENS are loaded with vitamins, minerals, and disease-fighting phytochemical. They are rich in fiber, which is good for weight loss and maintenance because it helps you feel full longer. Some greens like Kale and Collards have calcium which are good for teeth and bones. They also contain antioxidants like vitamin C, lutein, and zeaxanthin. You should aim for at least 2 cups of raw or cooked green a day and no less. Then watch your health and weight really improve.
So, there’s my two cents worth. Which do you think is the best way to start achieving better health and wellness…diet or exercise? Let me know.
Here’s to real foods,
